About Me and This Blog

My name is Deasy Priadi and I am an MBA candidate at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. I was born and raised in Indonesia where the gap between rich and poor is disturbingly wide. I became interested in financial inclusion after reading Muhammad Yunus' book, titled 'Creating a World Without Poverty'. I was intrigued by the fact that underprivileged people, those who need money the most, have difficulty accessing financial institutions, the opposite to those who are well-off.

Information and communications technology accelerates financial inclusion, enabling more people to have access to capital. It only took ICT years to make an impact as big as what Yunus has done in decades. With this blog, I would like to write about ICT and financial inclusion from a non-IT background point of view. I hope you enjoy it!
